BILLY DEE WILLIAMS Grew up in Harlem, acted from age 7 and attended The High School of Music and Art. Billy Dee was the recipient of the Hallgarten Scholarship to attend The National Academy of Fine Arts and Design. With much protest from his professors he turned to acting to earn money for paint and canvas. With a distinguished career in performing arts he reconnected with the Art environment of New York which inspired a series of remarkable paintings of oil, collage, acrylic and airbrush depicting music, love, landscapes etc. A visual storyteller, his rhythmic composition, perspective and bold colors carry his message of life. With ongoing national and international gallery exhibitions his paintings are in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian National Gallery, Wash. D.C., Schomberg Center in New York and many more Prestigious collections. DIANA SHANNON-YOUNG The joys of everyday life can be seen in abundance in the work of Diana Shannon-Young. Bright bold colors or a monotone pallet with a splash of color showing spiritual themes, musicals, landscapes and the joys of sisterhood are celebrated and come to life in her work. Having studied painting and printmaking at collegiate level and with well known artists, she chooses to explore the mixture of technique, texture and color using pastel, acrylic, oil and or watercolor, developing a unique style. Her work has an international appeal and has been seen in major exhibitions throughout the world. "I hope to enlighten the spirit and through art inspire brotherhood, family values and joy." Motivated or inspired by Romare Bearden, William Tolliver, Paul Cezanne, Marc Chagall, and more, her work is collected around the world by prominent professionals, celebrities and everyday serious art buyers. KATHERINE KISA Born in Nairobi, Kenya to parents in the diplomatic service Katherine credits early extensive travel with greatly enriching the quality and content of her work. Primarily a self taught artist preferring to learn new techniques through trial and error, Katherine's work is featured in shows around the country. "Inspired by Africa, it's people and it's profusion of color, form, and style creating a challenge to do something new and leave a lasting impression on the viewer. "When my mind, hand and brush work in synchrony, magic is achieved." ADAM YOUNG Born in Jamaica, recognized and encouraged for his artistic talents at an early age. Of humble beginnings, he was able to sell his work to tourists and collectors as he shuttled them on tours and trips. Relocated in late 1990 after meeting his wife a US artist. Celebrations, ceremonies and everyday Jamaican life become real in his work. His work has been well received in this country and abroad and hangs in numerous prominent collections. TOSH FOMBY Native of Atlanta, received a BFA in graphic design from the Art Institute of Atlanta. Accomplished portrait artist, transitioned to fine art 9 years ago. Uses a variety of mediums. Subjects reflective of Southern roots and African heritage depicting figures, landscapes and abstraction. Influence by Diego Rivera and Charles White is evident in her work with her use of cubism and impressionism. Gallery shows throughout Georgia and art festivals nationwide.
